In a few years, the water level in our ocean will have risen by one meter. This is an alarming number, because in the future, cities located near the sea could possibly be completely submerged. However, we all have the power to stop global warming. (more…)

Don’t you think that school lunchtime is incredibly boring now that we aren’t allowed to play American football? About a month after we started to play the MS office said that it was too dangerous and someone might get hurt, so they told us that we were not allowed to play anymore, but I think that was a bad decision. Should animal testing be continued? – By Sera Yun

I have personally been interested in the opinions surrounding animal testing since childhood when I learned about many medical discoveries that received permission from the World Health Organization (WHO) after ensuring safety through animal testing.  I’ve often noticed that the animals being experimented on were usually white mice, and thought it very pitiful and unnecessary to use animals towards medical purposes. However, as I grew up, my opinion about animal testing gradually altered. (more…)

In reality, the Middle School (MS) Band program probably has too many instruments already, which won’t help the idea of adding guitar. In my point of view, I think that the guitar is very important because many people in our school play it, which makes an even bigger reason for middle school to have guitar. (more…)

Man! I hate waking up every morning at 6:45am, and just to get to school! I think that school at ISM starts way too early. Where I used to live, middle school would start at 9:30am! The faculty and staff think it’s the perfect time for us to be yanked from our beds, and tossed into our little kid jail known as school. I think that we should move the time that school start to 9:30am, or at least 9:00am. (more…)

When you come from a country where once a war ends, another one starts again; you begin to wonder if this is how it’s always going to be. In Israel, after gaining nationhood, in 1948 it was once again attacked by the many neighboring countries surrounding it, due to the refusal of these countries to recognize Israel’s existence.  Since then, there have been a lot of conflicts with the same countries. I think it’s a stupid way to see who gets what, but others may think different. (more…)
